Maranello’s Limited-Edition Daytona SP3 Gets Striking Carbonio a Vista Finish
Ferrari’s Tailor Made program takes customization to new heights with the introduction of a unique naked carbon fiber finish called Carbonio a Vista, exclusively applied to three limited-edition Daytona SP3 supercars. This distinct finish, showcasing the natural beauty of black carbon fiber, is complemented by a transparent protective coating, creating a mesmerizing visual effect.
Less is More Concept: Embracing a “less is more” philosophy, Ferrari unveils the Daytona SP3 supercars with the Carbonio a Vista finish, allowing the native black carbon-fiber texture to take center stage.
Two-Tone Elegance: While most of the body is left exposed in its raw carbon fiber state, one of the cars receives a touch of elegance with a blue paint accent, enhancing its visual appeal.
Special Spazzolato Treatment: Ferrari applies a Spazzolato (brushed) treatment to the carbon fiber surface, further elevating the majestic body of the limited-edition Daytona SP3.
Challenges in Seamless Installation: Achieving a flawless finish required meticulous attention, especially in seamlessly installing the carbon fiber sheets. The design team reevaluated the assembly of body panels to minimize blemishes and ensure a harmonious appearance.
Performance and Design Integration: While the Carbonio a Vista finish contributes to weight reduction and potential performance gains, Ferrari emphasizes that the primary inspiration behind this option is the aesthetic enhancement of the Daytona SP3.
Powerful Performance: The Daytona SP3 retains its powerful 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering 829 horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque. With a rear-wheel-drive layout and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it achieves a top speed of 211 mph and accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 2.85 seconds.
Exclusivity and Limited Production: The Carbonio a Vista exterior finish is exclusive to the Daytona SP3, adding an extra layer of exclusivity to the 599 limited examples. Owners can also choose from other unique shades inspired by precious stones and metals.
Rivalry in Exposed Carbon Finishes: Ferrari joins the league of automotive manufacturers offering exposed carbon finishes, with Bugatti and Koenigsegg being notable contenders in the realm of stunning carbon fiber aesthetics.
Ferrari’s Carbonio a Vista finish on the Daytona SP3 exemplifies the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of customization and design, creating a visual masterpiece that celebrates the raw beauty of carbon fiber.
