Hyundai’s Kona Electric N Line Features Aggressive Design Cues and Enhanced Interior

Hyundai is expanding its N Line trim to the Kona Electric, marking the first time the brand’s electric vehicle receives the performance-inspired styling treatment. While not a full-blown N derivative like its combustion counterparts, the Kona Electric N Line boasts a sporty appearance with aggressive front and rear bumpers, gloss black mirror caps, special 19-inch wheels, and an optional two-tone black roof, a feature exclusive to this model.

The N Line treatment extends to the interior, featuring a dedicated N Line steering wheel, metal pedals, black headliner, and sports seats. The seats are available in two finishes, with the base N Line offering cloth seats and the N Line S providing an Eco Alcantara and leather combination. Both options include red contrast stitching and heated seats in the front and rear. The N Line S further adds ventilation and electric adjustment to the seats, dual-zone climate control with rear air vents, a Bose sound system, a full-width DRL light bar, and additional safety features.

Under the hood, both N Line models are equipped with the same 65 kWh battery and a single 215 hp (218 PS / 160 kW) electric motor that propels the front wheels, achieving a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 7.8 seconds. The Kona Electric N Line retains the efficient and powerful electric drivetrain, catering to customers seeking a sportier design without compromising electric performance.

While the N Line treatment for the Kona Electric has been confirmed for European versions, it is anticipated that Hyundai will extend this sporty-looking variant to North America, following the availability of the ICE Kona with N Line features in the U.S. The Kona Electric N Line combines distinctive styling with electric efficiency, offering customers a dynamic and stylish choice in the electric vehicle market.
