Upgraded Hybrid Powertrain, Enhanced Features, and Stylish Additions Define the 2025 UX Model
In a forward-looking move, Lexus has unveiled the 2025 UX 300h, anticipating the future with a host of upgrades over its predecessor, the 250h. The new model features a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a new hybrid transaxle, resulting in a power boost from 181 hp to 196 hp. The incorporation of more potent electric motors contributes to the improved performance, allowing the UX 300h to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8 seconds with front-wheel drive.
Undergoing significant enhancements, the crossover now houses a modern lithium-ion battery, replacing the nickel-metal hydride unit. The introduction of new shift-by-wire technology promises a quicker and more seamless shifting experience. With these changes, Lexus estimates a combined fuel economy rating of 43 mpg, a slight improvement over the previous model.
Not only does the 2025 UX 300h promise enhanced efficiency, but it also brings aesthetic updates. A new Copper Crest paint option adds a touch of sophistication, while the interior receives chrome accents, revamped switchgear on the door panels, and, for Premium and F Sport variants, an upgraded 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The F Sport Handling variants now feature a power liftgate with a kick sensor for added convenience. The overall cabin experience is refined with “hairline finishing” on door panels and the center console.
Safety features receive an upgrade as well, with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 being replaced by the newer 3.0 setup. This includes advanced driver assistance systems such as All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
The 2025 UX 300h is a glimpse into Lexus’ future, combining enhanced performance, updated aesthetics, and advanced safety features. Pricing details are expected to be announced next year, with the model hitting the market shortly after.
