Moto Guzzi unveils 2024 Stelvio adventure bike with new compact block engine

The Italian motorcycle maker introduces a new adventure bike powered by a compact block engine.
Moto Guzzi, in its second century, is introducing changes while staying true to its signature longitudinal V-twin and shaft drive. The company’s new compact block engine powers its latest adventure bike, the 2024 Stelvio, set to make waves in the 900–1,100cc adventure motorcycle segment.

The Stelvio is powered by a modern 1,042cc compact block engine that boasts a DOHC four-valve head, producing 115 hp and 77.4 lb.-ft. of torque.
The adventure bike features five ride modes, including Sport, Strada, Turismo, Pioggia, and Off-road, each with specific throttle response, traction control, engine braking, and ABS settings.
The 5-inch TFT dash, also seen on the V100 Mandello, offers an intuitive menu system and the option for Piaggio Group’s MIA smartphone connectivity for music, phone calls, and navigation control.
The bike comes standard with cruise control and an available S model with forward- and rear-facing radar for adaptive cruise and safety features.
The gearbox features improvements to enhance shifting, with a self-assist anti-hopping (slipper) clutch aimed at improving shift actuation and feel.
The suspension includes a Sachs 46mm inverted fork at the front and a KYB shock at the rear, both offering adjustability for a smooth ride.
Tubeless cross-spoke wheels and Michelin Anakee Adventure tires enhance the bike’s performance, while Brembo brakes with ABS provide strong and precise stopping power.

The 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio will be available in the first part of 2024.
The Stelvio was designed with superior aerodynamics, offering a buffet-free airflow even at higher speeds. It provides an impressive bubble of calm air behind the windscreen, allowing for comfortable riding up to speeds of 139.8 mph.
In terms of handling, the Stelvio is described as quick and stable, with a light and nimble front end. The bike offers a comfortable rider triangle, including a high and wide handlebar, a versatile seat design, and user-friendly ergonomics.

Pricing and Availability:
The exact pricing for the 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio has not been announced yet, but it’s expected to be revealed at the EICMA event in November. The bike is anticipated to be available at dealers shortly after the new year.
With a strong focus on road performance, the Stelvio’s off-road capabilities continue to be under the magnifying glass. It is, however, seen as a promising addition to Moto Guzzi’s adventure bike lineup, as the company begins its second century on a high note.
