“Honda unveils 2024 Passport with trim level enhancements and a small price increase”.

Honda has introduced updates for its 2024 Passport SUV, accompanied by a slight increase in pricing. The 2024 Passport maintains two existing trim levels, the EX-L and TrailSport, which are priced $900 higher than the previous year. Furthermore, the new Black Edition, replacing the Elite trim, comes with a $1,410 price difference.

The 2024 Passport pricing begins at $41,900 for the EX-L, $44,500 for the TrailSport, and $47,970 for the Black Edition, excluding the $1,375 destination charge. Honda, renowned for its generous standard equipment offerings, does not typically have numerous extra features or options that significantly raise prices beyond the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP).

Under the hood, the 2024 Passport continues to be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This combination provides a robust performance, achieving 21 mpg combined fuel efficiency and offering a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. Additionally, all models come with all-wheel drive (AWD) since front-wheel drive (FWD) models were discontinued in 2022.

The notable changes for the 2024 model year include enhancements to the TrailSport and the introduction of the new Black Edition trim. The TrailSport trim receives performance upgrades, including an off-road-tuned suspension with increased articulation and improved off-road ride quality. It is now equipped with General Grabber A/T Sport tires for improved traction in challenging off-road conditions. Exclusive features for the TrailSport trim encompass the Diffused Sky Blue paint color, distinctive badging, and orange trim accents both inside and outside the vehicle, aiming to enhance its off-road capabilities.

The Black Edition stands as the flagship trim, offering an upscale appearance with color options such as Crystal Black Pearl, Sonic Gray Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Radiant Red Metallic II. It features blacked-out exterior badging and trim, along with black 20-inch wheels and Black Edition branding. The interior showcases red stitching accents and premium amenities, including ventilated front seats, a high-quality sound system, and heated rear seats.

With these trim updates, Honda seeks to maintain the Passport’s appeal for customers in the 2024 model year, and the vehicle is expected to arrive at dealerships in the coming month.
