Red Bull’s three-time World Champion Max Verstappen discusses the possibility of joining Ferrari at some point in his career, while expressing contentment with his current team.
Max Verstappen, a three-time Formula 1 World Champion with Red Bull Racing, has left the door open to the idea of a future move to Ferrari. Despite having an existing contract with Red Bull that extends through 2028, Verstappen, in a recent interview, acknowledged the allure of the Scuderia.
He mentioned that Ferrari has a remarkable history in Formula 1 and is an incredible team to compete with. When his current contract concludes, he will be 31 years old and believes he can continue achieving great things.
Verstappen, however, also expressed contentment with his current team and mentioned that it would be a beautiful story if he could spend his entire F1 career with Red Bull. He highlighted the happiness he feels within the team and the close relationships he has formed.
In addition to his comments about the prospect of a Ferrari move, Verstappen expressed his desire to add Michael Schumacher’s 2004 championship-winning Ferrari to his personal collection of cars. He noted his admiration for the F2004 but mentioned not knowing where to purchase it, playfully suggesting Ferrari’s president, John Elkann, might consider the idea.
The future of Ferrari’s current drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, is still uncertain, as both have contracts expiring at the end of the next year.
