Limited Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition to be auctioned for charity
Proceeds to benefit El Monte Schools and Vision to Learn
Longo Toyota, the largest Toyota dealership, is set to auction a Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition to benefit El Monte Schools and Vision to Learn, a non-profit organization. The unique Morizo Edition is part of the limited production of 200 units and boasts performance-oriented upgrades, including a lighter body and an exclusive close-ratio intelligent manual transmission with shorter differential gears. The 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-three engine generates 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Only 15 units of the Morizo Edition are reportedly available for sale.
Proceeds from the auction will be directed toward supporting the El Monte City School District and El Monte Union, which serve a diverse student population of more than 20 language backgrounds in Los Angeles County. The funds will be used to create STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) labs and maker spaces for students. El Monte Schools and Vision to Learn, a non-profit organization providing eye exams and glasses to students from low-income communities, will benefit from the charitable initiative.
The digital auction for the GR Corolla Morizo Edition, with badge number #001, is scheduled to begin on October 18 and conclude on October 24 through Bring A Trailer. The auction is expected to attract enthusiasts keen on owning this limited and high-performance edition, with all proceeds contributing to community development and supporting students in El Monte.
