Minor updates and pricing details for the 2024 Toyota Crown Sedan

Toyota has released pricing and details for the 2024 Toyota Crown sedan, following its debut as a 2023 model. The 2024 model retains the XLE, Limited, and Platinum trim levels, with only modest changes and upgrades.

The starting price for the 2024 Toyota Crown is $40,050, representing a $100 increase from the previous year. The Limited trim is priced at $45,650, marking a $100 increase, while the Platinum variant costs $53,070, with a $720 increase. These prices do not include the unchanged destination charge of $1,095 for both the 2023 and 2024 model years.

The updates for the 2024 Crown are relatively minor, focusing on enhanced materials and safety features. Toyota mentions that all trim levels receive interior upgrades, including improvements to soft-touch materials. New warm steel-colored accents are introduced across all models, enhancing the vehicle’s interior design.

One notable feature across all trim levels is the 12.3-inch touchscreen, which offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. The Crown’s cabin is praised for its luxurious feel and spaciousness, and even the base model features high-quality woven fabric on the seats.

Toyota has also improved the Crown’s safety technology for the 2024 model year. The Platinum trim now comes equipped with traffic jam assist, lane-change assist, and front cross-traffic alert. These advanced safety features are also available on the Limited trim as part of the upgraded Advanced Technology Package. This package, previously priced at $2,950 for the Limited, now costs $3,570 and includes the added safety features along with a panoramic view monitor.

While the base XLE trim does not offer all of the advanced safety technologies found in the higher trims, it does include the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 Package. This package encompasses features like a pre-collision system, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and road sign assist.

The Toyota Crown sedan has demonstrated solid sales performance, surpassing 13,000 units sold in 2023 so far. This figure exceeds the sales of the discontinued Toyota Avalon during the same period in 2022. Toyota may further expand the local Crown range with the recently introduced Crown Sport model in Japan, potentially boosting the nameplate’s popularity.
