Rolls-Royce unveils limited edition Black Badge Ghost Ekleipsis Private Collection inspired byesolar Eclipse

Rolls-Royce, known for its unparalleled attention to detail and luxury craftsmanship, has introduced a highly exclusive series called the Black Badge Ghost Ekleipsis Private Collection. Limited to just 25 units, this collection is based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge and is intended for the brand’s most esteemed customers.

Inspiration and unveiling:
The collection draws its inspiration from the captivating phenomenon of a solar eclipse, encapsulating the drama, spectacle, and mystery associated with this celestial event. Rolls-Royce has meticulously timed the launch to coincide with the occurrence of an annular solar eclipse visible in parts of the Western Hemisphere on October 14.

Exterior and paintwork:
The Black Badge model serves as the foundation for this exclusive series. Rolls-Royce has implemented a range of premium enhancements to set it apart from the standard Ghost. The exterior features a bespoke paint finish called Lyrical Copper, incorporating powdered copper pigment. This finish exhibits a captivating iridescence, especially under direct sunlight, evoking the ethereal light of a total solar eclipse.

Distinctive design elements:
Mandarin inserts and brake calipers add vibrant touches, capturing the play of sunlight during various stages of an eclipse.
A hand-painted coachline, in a unique abstract representation, symbolizes the transition from sunlight to darkness.
Starlight Headliner Animation:
One of the most remarkable features is the Starlight Headliner, now enhanced with an intricate animation. The headliner showcases 940 stars to recreate the sun and the eclipse, accompanied by an additional 192 illuminating stars visible during daylight, mimicking a total solar eclipse. The entire animation, precisely timed, lasts seven minutes and 31 seconds to replicate the duration of a total solar eclipse.

Interior craftsmanship:
The interior of the Black Badge Ghost Ekleipsis Private Collection reflects the moment of a 360-degree sunset experienced during a total solar eclipse. Bi-colored seats with perforated artwork, composed of over 200,000 individual perforations, create this effect. The Mandarin leather, tinted in black, reveals the original color through the perforations.
